Lucas Oil Aerobatics: Michael Wiskus

Mike fell in love with airplanes at the age of 10. On his 15th birthday, he was given his first airplane ride, and from there on he has never looked back. With more than 24,000 hours of flight time, Mike is qualified to fly more than 30 aircraft including some of the highest performance aerobatic aircraft in the world.

The 2002 U.S. National Aerobatic Champion as well as a 2004 U.S. National Aerobatic Team Member, Mike has traveled the world performing in air shows and competing against some of the greatest aerobatic pilots in Europe and Russia. Tumbling his aircraft end over end through the smoke and noise, his precise point rolls and outrageous maneuvers will only prove to you why he was awarded the Silver Medal in Sweden.

Mike is determined to share his passion and love for aviation through his air shows andthe “I Can” Program which is driven to encourage kids of all ages to follow their dreams by giving a video/essay contest winner a once in a lifetime aerobatic ride at your air show (for more information about the “I Can” program please visit our website or call Danielle).Mike’s message is simple. “You can follow your dreams and do what you love. Just work hard and never give up”. Mike has taken this message to millions of spectators, high schools and groups over the last 10 years. Come out to the show, meet Mike and see why his electric personality will charge even the most skeptics.

Julie Clark : American Aerobatics

With her sparkling personality and the graceful aerobatics that have endeared her to her legions of faithful fans, Julie Clark’s air show routine takes the MENTOR, her restored 1-34, “Free Spirit,” to the limits of its operating capability. Julie’s MENTOR T-34 demands exceptional skill to perform aerobatics and Julie’s experience has honed her co-ordination and responsiveness in delicate balance. Julie’s aerobatic routine is remarkable in its beauty and splendor and even more remarkable in that she exhibits elegance in an airplane with flying manners best be described as rugged. Her unique and patriotic presentation, “Serenade in Red, White and Blue,” is breathtakingly choreographed to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” or “God Bless You Canada.” To enhance her routine, multi-colored wing-tip smoke trails her every maneuver and she concludes her performance with crowd-pleasing pyrotechnics, dazzling fireworks.

A pilot for more than 40 years and a retired Northwest Airlines Captain, Julie Clark has logged more than 31,000 accident-free hours in the air and is rated in more than 66 types of aircraft.

The Lucas Oil Skydiving Team is a collection of 3 driven skydivers who have full time careers but dedicate their free time and vacation days to a sport they just can’t get enough of. From HR to electrician, engineer to architectural technician these are three very different guys with one incredible passion. With a pool of over 25,300 jumps these guys know what it takes to make each jump precise and entertaining.

Not only do they love what they do but all three of these guys participate as a skydiving instructor or coach in some capacity. Nationally ranked with gold and silver medals these guys have turned their “hobby” in to a successful air show act you don’t want to miss.
